Rising 258 meters vertically from the sea at Brønnøysundet, Torghatten is a distinctive sight. In the middle of this mountain is a hole.
This iconic landmark has been called ‘Nature's Cathedral’ due to the hole’s 35-metre-high ceiling.
Enjoy a scenic bus ride to this famous mountain and join the Expedition Team for a hike. Some may choose to climb all the way up to the hole itself. This is a steep climb on rocky and uneven ground and requires good physical fitness. At the hole, you will be rewarded by a spectacular view. The Helgeland coast is dotted with hundreds of small islands, an impressive sight from high above.
