Day 1: Exploring Guayaquil
You'll travel from the Galápagos Islands to Guayaquil, where your expedition cruise ends. We’ll meet you at the airport and take you to your comfortable, centrally located hotel. Take some time to settle in, enjoy the hotel’s facilities and spend the day exploring Guayaquil at your leisure.
Situated on the west bank of the Guayas River, Guayaquil is not only the gateway to the Galápagos Islands, but the beating commercial heart of Ecuador and a vibrant city. One of Guayaquil’s major attractions is the Malecón 2000, a 1.5-mile promenade brimming with historic sites, eateries and modern attractions. Stroll along this impressive boardwalk and admire the river views, monuments and parks, or head to the shopping mall, museum or cinema.
Day 2: Departure from Guayaquil
After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, your Post-Programme comes to an end.

This tour is available as a Post-Programme in combination with expedition cruises ending in Guayaquil upon return from Galápagos Islands.
At the time of booking, please ensure your original flight from Balta Island has been booked to Guayaquil. If your original flight is to Quito, please inform us in good time. Your flight from the Galápagos Islands can be changed to Guayaquil at no extra cost.
If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the trip up to 6 weeks before departure.
