Sail through the legendary Northwest Passage

  • Epic 19-day expedition cruise from Reykjavik, Iceland, along Greenland's south coast and through the Northwest Passage to Cambridge Bay.

  • Follow in the footsteps of great explorers, as we navigate the channels of the Northwest Passage, visiting landmarks like Pond Inlet, Dundas Harbour, Radstock Bay, Fort Ross and Gjoa Haven.

  • Watch for whales and other wildlife, and discover UNESCO-listed Ilulissat Icefjord and the Inuit settlements of Greenland.

Ice floes and glaciers

From Reykjavik we cruise to Greenland, taking in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ilulissat Icefjord. We'll then attempt to navigate the icy channels of the Northwest Passage to Edmonton, Alberta, like the great explorers before us. We'll explore the famous waterways of Prins Christian Sund, Baffin Bay, the Davis Strait all the way to Cambridge Bay.

Extraordinary wildlife

Admire Arctic animals and birdlife in their natural habitat. You may spot polar bears, musk oxen, caribou and ringed seals – perhaps even minke and humpback whales. Scan the skies above you too for soaring Glaucous Gulls and Black Guillemots.

Attempt

Our Northwest Passage Attempts are expeditions where we, in true expedition style, challenge the elements and the ice-edge of the Arctic Ocean, to circumnavigate this remote and icy waterways – in a safe way. Several alternative routes combined with our deep knowledge of the area and flexibility are key factors to giving you the most amazing experience. And if we really manage to circumnavigate Baffin Island or sail through the entire Northwest Passage, it will be one for the books.
