Planned Pre-Program itinerary

Day 1: Overnight in Reykjavík

Upon arriving in Iceland’s capital, check in to your hotel. If there’s time, we recommend making the most of the numerous things to see and do in this charming city.

Day 2: Reykjavík to Þórsmörk

After breakfast, you will begin your two-day tour of Þórsmörk in the Highlands. We will pass through dramatic landscapes on the way to our first tour stop, the Kerið Crater. You’ll see steaming hot springs as we enter the Geysir Geothermal Area, where the stunning Strokkur geyser spouts. After lunch, we’ll head to the double cascades of Gullfoss, known as the ‘Golden Waterfall.’ Then we’ll drive into the volcanic highlands for a cozy night at Þórsmörk, including dinner.

Day 3: Þórsmörk

Enjoy a full day in Þórsmörk, often considered the most beautiful area in Iceland. Surrounded by glaciers and steep mountains covered in birch trees, Þórsmörk features breathtaking scenery in every direction. On the way back, stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall. Again, you will stay overnight at your hotel in Þórsmörk.

Day 4: Return to Reykjavík

After breakfast, depart from your hotel and enjoy the remote and unique highlands on the way to Þjórsárdalur Valley, where you will visit hidden gems. Visit Háifoss and Hjálparfoss Waterfalls and the beautiful Gjáin Valley. Next, we’ll stop at the Friðheimar tomato greenhouse for a fascinating glimpse into Icelandic agriculture and horse breeding. You’ll enjoy a tomato-themed lunch at their restaurant. The last stop on your tour is the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir (Þingvellir) National Park, with stunning views of the vast lava plain filled with wildflowers. Then we’ll take you straight to the pier in Reykjavík in time for embarkation.

Please note that the order of sites we visit may vary.
