Island hopping by bus
We drive along Skálafjørður from Runavík, passing the villages of Gøta and Leirvík. To get to Borðoy, we take the Nordoya Subsea Tunnel, the Faroes’ longest undersea tunnel with a colorful light installation around the roundabout. In Klaksvík, the island’s main fishing port, we’ll visit Christianskirkjan, then drive to the island of Kunoy, where we’ll enjoy a walk before heading back to Runavík.
