You will travel across the Lofoten archipelago to the Lofotr Viking Museum, a site still surrounded by farmland, just as it was in the Viking Era. This lively museum features a reconstruction of the largest Viking longhouse found anywhere in the world. The weapons in the longhouse are all replicas, so you can play Viking to your heart’s content!

For those less inclined to take up arms, they can admire the skill used to recreate the world of over a thousand years ago, or the skills still on display by the craftspeople. The archeological discoveries from the site are housed in a separate building, which also features a souvenir shop, a café, and other displays.

Both on the way to and from Lofotr Viking Museum, if time allows, we will stop to take photos at scenic spots such as Flakstad beach, where surfers have started hanging out to enjoy the waves, or the local church. Please note that the bus ride to the Viking Museum can take up to 1.5 hours in winter.
