Hear the riveting story of the Halifax Explosion and why a huge Spruce tree is given to Boston every year as a thank you from its people!
Learn about the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), the Royal Canadian Naval dockyards and how we are linked to the British Monarchy. See the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site perched high above the capital with 360 degree views, see the Historic Properties, the Victorian Public Gardens and Province House as you journey through the city.
Visits will be made to two outstanding villages, the famed Peggy’s Cove with its 30,000+ glacial rock deposits and the UNESCO town of Lunenburg, world renowned as the home of the famous sailing schooner Bluenose. Take home a commemorative coin with an engraving of the Bluenose as a keepsake of your trip.
A highlight of this tour will include a visit to the Acadian Maple facility where their specialty is pure Nova Scotia maple syrup and other maple delicacies.
