After meeting your guide at the port, take a scenic drive through the Frisian countryside towards the planetarium.

Located in the living room of a house beside a Frisian canal, Eise Eisinga Planetarium is the world’s oldest functioning planetarium. After a short introduction, you can explore the site on your own. Highlights include the moving model solar system built between 1774 and 1781 by Eise Eisinga, a wool carder. Then, take some time to wander around the quaint town of Franeker.
