After disembarking at the town pier, guests walk a short distance into town (approx. 10 minutes). (There are two 8-seat minivans available for guests who are unable to walk that far)

The guests will split up into different groups, each with their own guide, for a relaxed walk through the community. You will wander the streets, featuring an array of different shops and businesses, and visit the local secondary school, the main church, the primary school, and the small fishing port. There, the fishermen present some locally caught fish that are flown out daily to the main cities of Colombia.

The tour will end on the ‘malecón’ (a.k.a. the seafront) with a Pacific Afro-Colombian dance performance and a visit to the artisan market, where handicrafts will be available for purchase.

Guests are divided into groups of 15-20 people per guide. Each group takes a slightly different variation of the tour route, but all end at the malecón.

  • Walking information: The terrain in the town is flat and guests can explore at their leisure and pace. Streets are generally unsurfaced and become slippery in the rain. There is not a lot of walking involved. Guests can explore at their leisure or pace and easily return to the pier. Colombia 57 staff are on hand to assist guests and provide transport, if required. Approx. 1.2 miles of total walking in the circuit
