Highlights of the Altiplano  

Wander around Lima’s UNESCO-listed centre and visit the pre-Inca tombs of Sillustani before heading to mighty Lake Titicaca, the largest high-altitude lake on Earth. You’ll then begin an unforgettable journey along the Altiplano to mystical Machu Picchu and beautiful Cusco.  

Cruise north along the Pacific coast 

Meeting your ship in Lima, you’ll cruise up the Pacific coast, discovering the ancient kingdoms of Trujillo, colourful Puerto Bolívar and the surf beaches of Manta along the way. You’ll experience vibrant Afro-Colombian culture in Bahía Solano, before heading through the legendary Panama Canal.

  • The land programme in Peru takes place at high altitudes. Lake Titicaca´s altitude is at approx. 12,500 ft and the city of Cusco is at approx. 11,100 ft and may require a certain level of physical fitness. The order of sights may vary. 

Land Programme: Lake Titicaca and Machu Picchu/Peru (before the cruise)

  • One night at a hotel in Lima, including breakfast 
  • Two nights at a hotel in Puno and two nights at a hotel in Cusco, including half board  
  • Picnic lunch on Days 2 and 4, set lunch on Days 3, 5 and 6. 
  • Flights in economy class from Lima to Juliaca and Cusco to Lima 
  • All transfers, excursions and train rides as described, including an English-speaking guides 
  • Entrance fee as listed in the programme
