Arrival and departure information for The Spitsbergen Adventurer

We hope you’re looking forward to our voyage together at the top of the world on The Spitsbergen Adventurer. We’re excited to show you the beauty of this rugged Arctic archipelago where whales, seals, and polar bears roam.

Please note that the information provided is subject to change, and some services described may not be included in your personal travel arrangements. For more information, please refer to your booking confirmation and individual itinerary.

Below, you’ll find details about getting to Svalbard and returning home after your voyage.

Arrival in Longyearbyen | Day 1 | Wednesday

Your arrival in Longyearbyen marks the start of your adventure! Once you have arrived, please grab your luggage, and exit the airport to find the Flybus shuttle buses which will take you to your hotel. Please be sure to hand the driver your transfer voucher, which can be found with your emailed itinerary and vouchers. Please be sure to have the transfer voucher printed before arrival to Longyearbyen.

Depending on which cabin you have selected, you will be taken to either Radisson Blu Polar Hotel or the Coal Miners’ Cabin. Please be sure to check your individual itinerary to know which hotel you will be staying in. For both hotels, check-in is at 15:00. Luggage can be stored at the hotel in case of an early arrival.

Enjoy an included dinner at your hotel Wednesday evening and chat with your fellow travellers!

Transfer to MS Nordstjernen | Day 2 | Thursday

Breakfast will be served starting from 07:00.

After check-out at 11:00, please enjoy lunch at your hotel starting from 12:00 and get ready for your Spitsbergen adventure!

The transfer with city tour will be at your hotel at 12:45. Enjoy the city tour with included stops to visit the Svalbard Museum and Camp Barentz before heading to MS Nordstjernen for your voyage.

Departure | Day 6 | Monday

After arriving back in Longyearbyen, a transfer will pick you up from the port and take you to the airport. Please be sure to bring all of your personal belongings with you.

Due to the arrival time of the ship and different departure flight times from Longyearbyen, you may have some free time in between. Enjoy some time in Longyearbyen before the transfer takes you to the airport. Please be at the Radisson Blu Polar Hotel two hours before your flight departure as this is when the transfer will be there to take you to the airport.

Breakfast will be served starting from 07:00.

On Monday morning, please be ready for your transfer with your luggage at 09:50. The transfer with city tour will pick you up from your hotel at 10:00.

Enjoy the city tour with included stops to visit the Svalbard Museum and Camp Barentz, before heading to MS Nordstjernen for your voyage.

Disembarking MS Nordstjernen | Day 5 | Thursday

After arriving back in Longyearbyen, a transfer will pick you up from the port and take you to your hotel. Please be sure to bring all of your personal belongings with you.

A light meal will be available for you at your hotel from 10:00, and dinner will be served in your hotel in the evening from 19:00.

Departure from Longyearbyen | Day 6 | Friday

Breakfast will be available on Friday morning starting from 07:00.

Transfers will run during the day according to the schedule that will be provided. To ensure that the transfers have the appropriate number of passengers, kindly provide your flight details and times to our Sales and Service team. We kindly ask that you have the voucher printed to hand to the bus driver.
