Day 1: Sintra
From the airport, your transfer will take you to a beautiful palace hotel in pretty Sintra. The rest of the day is your own to explore and relax.
Day 2: Monseratte Palace and Cascais
After breakfast, we'll head to the parks and palace of Monserrate – a masterpiece of Romanticism with sublime gardens full of ruins and exotic flowers.
At Cape Roca, you can enjoy the feeling of standing at the westernmost point of continental Europe. From here, we'll visit the bustling town of Cascais. Stroll along its golden beaches to get a true taste of the Portuguese Riviera.
Back in Sintra, you'll enjoy dinner before returning to your hotel.
Day 3: From Jeronimos Church to Lisbon
Today, you'll enjoy some of the best things to do in Lisbon. Visit Jerónimos Monastery in Belém – a quarter steeped in history. Take some time to admire its striking Manueline architecture.
Enjoy spectacular views over the city from Eduard VII park. Then it's on to Baixa where you'll walk along the famously beautiful Augusta Street.
Your Pre-Programme comes to an end as you board your expedition ship and get ready for the next stage of your adventure.

Transfer from the airport to the hotel, including lunch.
2 hotel nights in Sintra, with breakfast.
Transfer from the hotel to pier.
A 7.5-hour guided excursion 'Monserrate Palace, Cape Roca & Cascais' with entrance fee to Monserrate Palace and lunch.
A transfer to the pier with 4-hour guided excursion 'Lisbon Highlights'.

Remarks and requirements
The tour starts 2 days before embarkation.
Includes some walking on uneven pavement and cobblestone streets. This excursion is not suitable for wheelchair users.
Minimum participants: 10.
If the minimum number of participants is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the Pre-Programme up to 6 weeks before departure.
