Day 1: Overnight in Reykjavik
After you arrive in Iceland's capital, you'll check in to your hotel. If there's time, why not explore the many things to see and do in this charming city.
Day 2: Reykjavik to Kerlingarfjöll
After breakfast, you'll begin your two-day tour of Kerlingarfjöll in the Highlands. We'll pass through dramatic landscapes on the way to our first tour stop – the Kerið Crater. You’ll see the steaming hot springs as we enter the Geysir Geothermal Area, where the stunning Strokkur geyser spouts. After lunch, we head to the double cascades of Gullfoss, known as the 'Golden Waterfall'. Then we'll drive up into the volcanic highlands for a cosy night at Kerlingarfjöll Mountain Resort, including dinner.
Day 3: Kerlingarfjöll
Today, you'll explore mini glaciers, steaming springs and Arctic vegetation as we hike around Hveradalir in the Kerlingarfjöll mountain range. It's full of colourful extremes, from pure white snow to shining black obsidian. Afterwards, you’ll enjoy a long soak in one of the natural baths just a short hike from Kerlingarfjöll Mountain Resort. Then it's back to the hotel where we’ll enjoy dinner and spend a second night.
Day 4: Return to Reykjavik
After breakfast, you'll visit the Secret Lagoon – created in 1891 – for a dip in its warm spring waters. Next, we'll stop at Friðheimar tomato greenhouse for a fascinating glimpse into Icelandic agriculture and horse breeding. You'll enjoy a tomato-themed lunch at their restaurant. The last stop on your tour is UNESCO-listed Thingvellir (Þingvellir) National Park, with stunning views of the vast lava plain, filled with wild flowers. Then we'll take you straight to the pier in Reykjavik in time for embarkation.
