Day 1: Overnight in Reykjavik
Once you arrive in Reykjavik, your time is your own. Why not explore some of the sights of Iceland's capital city before enjoying a relaxing night at hotel.
Day 2: Kerið Crater, Gullfoss and geysers
After breakfast, we'll pass through dramatic volcanic landscapes on the way to our first tour stop – the Kerið Crater with its shining lake. Then it's on to the hot springs and spouting geysers of the Geysir Geothermal Area. Look out for Strokkur, the largest geyser, which spouts every few minutes. After lunch, we'll head to the double cascade of Gullfoss, or 'Golden Waterfall' before driving you to your hotel in Thórsmörk (Þórsmörk) for the night, including dinner.
Day 3: Exploring Thórsmörk
We’ll spend today exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Thórsmörk, which many consider the most beautiful spot in Iceland. We’ll hike, stroll and wander through the wild landscape, soaking up views of glaciers and birch-covered mountains We'll end the tour with another natural wonder –Seljalandsfoss Waterfall.
Day 4: Secret Lagoon and return to Reykjavik
We’ll start the day with a dip in the Secret Lagoon in the village of Flúðir, built from a natural hot spring in 1891. Next, we'll stop at Friðheimar tomato greenhouse for a fascinating glimpse into Icelandic agriculture and horse breeding. You'll enjoy a tomato-themed lunch at their restaurant. The last stop on your tour is UNESCO-listed Thingvellir (Þingvellir) National Park, with stunning views of the vast lava plain, filled with wild flowers. Your Pre-Programme tour ends at the pier in Reykjavik in time for embarkation.
