Itinerary for your Post-Programme

Day 1: Seward to Anchorage

After the end of your expedition cruise, you’ll be transferred from Seward to Anchorage where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 2: Denali from Anchorage

After a night in Anchorage as part of your expedition cruise, you'll travel to Denali National Park, one of the world's greatest wildlife preserves. On the way we'll visit the sled dogs at Happy Trails Kennel. You’ll take a virtual trip along the Iditarod trail, watch a dog sled demonstration and grab some all-important puppy playtime. When we reach the park, you can join optional activities or simply soak in the views. We’ll spend the night in a park lodge.

Day 3: Discover Denali National Park

You’ll travel deep into Denali National Park today on the Tundra Wilderness Bus and search this vast wilderness for bears, moose, caribou, and Dall sheep. This five-to-six-hour journey is narrated to provide unique insight into the animals, as well as the flora and fauna of this spectacular region. Together with your guide, you’ll also explore the Denali area during an approx. two-mile moderate hike. A snack will be provided on the tour. Please note that the tour duration may vary due to weather and road conditions. There will be an overnight at a lodge at Denali Park Entrance. We recommend you bring your own refillable water bottles as along the way you may find water stations.

Day 4: Denali National Park to Anchorage

After breakfast you’ll enjoy a scenic luxury dome rail journey from Denali Rail Depot to Anchorage. Take in the panoramic views across three striking mountain ranges. Once we arrive in Anchorage, we’ll spend one last night in a comfortable, welcoming hotel.

Day 5: End of the adventure

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel as your Post-Programme adventure comes to a close.

Please note that we sometimes visit sites in a different order.

When you travel in May, due to weather conditions, we take a shorter tour to the Toklat River for a sub-Arctic experience and incredible scenery. A boxed snack and hot beverages will be provided.
