Day 1: Denali from Anchorage
After a night in Anchorage as part of your expedition cruise, you'll travel to Denali National Park, one of the world's greatest wildlife preserves. Enjoy a scenic road trip to Talkeetna, then take a four-hour luxury dome rail journey, with lunch, through stunning panoramic views. When we reach the park, you can join optional activities or simply soak in the views. We’ll spend the night in a park lodge.
Day 2: Discover Denali National Park
Today we take a full-day guided bus tour through the entire park. Your guide will help you spot local wildlife like bears, moose and caribou. Enjoy a two-hour lunch stop with an optional activity break in the old gold mining town of Kantisha. You'll also have the chance to chat to a National Park Service Ranger from Wonder Lake. You'll see a different perspective of the park on the return trip.
Day 3: Denali National Park to Anchorage
On the drive back to Anchorage, we'll visit the sled dogs at Happy Trails Kennel. You’ll take a virtual trip along the Iditarod trail, watch a dog sled demonstration and grab some all-important puppy playtime. Once we arrive in Anchorage, the rest of the day is your own, and we’ll spend one last night in a comfortable, welcoming hotel.
Day 4: End of the adventure
Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel as your Post-Programme adventure comes to a close.
Please note that we sometimes visit sites in a different order.
When you travel in May, due to weather conditions, we take a shorter tour to the Toklat River for a sub-Arctic experience and incredible scenery. A boxed snack and hot beverages will be provided.
