Are you ready for a hiking adventure? This trip starts at the top of Longyearbyen, in Svedrupbyen. From here the guide will lead you through the glacial moraine, with rocks pressed up by the ice, and over small streams. When we arrive at the front of the stable and land-locked glacier, the tour can take different routes.

The guide will have studied the conditions and weather, and lead you on a challenging but interesting hike. Perhaps we will walk up onto the side of the glacier and look into the ice, or if conditions are good, we may head up the mountainside for a birds eye view.

This hike takes you through demanding, steep and uneven terrain, and participants should be fit and have good shoes. During the tour the guide will serve hot drinks and an expedition lunch, as you enjoy the Mars-like Arctic Landscape!

After your arrival back at the hotel, enjoy some time on your own leisure to explore the town of Longyearbyen before you will get picked up at your hotel at 17.30 for your transfer to the ship.
