Starting from the pier, you’ll begin your drive to the medieval town of Quimper, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour.  

Starting on the banks of the Odet River, you’ll be immersed in Breton history and culture as you stroll through the old town with its timber-framed houses and granite mansions. You’ll then visit the Gothic St Corentin Cathedral and admire its twin spires and fine stained-glass windows. You’ll have some time to explore at your leisure before returning to Douarnenez.

  • Remarks/requirements: Please dress according to the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Please note the order of sights visited may vary and access to religious monuments can be restricted by ceremonies.

  • Walking information: Involves moderate physical activity on relatively level surfaces and gentle terrain. Quimper includes cobblestone streets.
