About English Heritage

Founded in 2015, English Heritage cares for and manages over 400 historic buildings, monuments and sites for some 10 million guests annually. They protect and bring to life six millennia, worth of English history, from world-famous prehistoric sites and ancient castles to modern wartime bunkers - ensuring these are around for future generations to enjoy.

English Heritage's work to restore and preserve England's vibrant and diverse history is no easy feat and is primarily funded through the generous support of public donations, partnerships and grants. They have now begun work on the largest conservation project in their history including renovations of Belsay Awakes, Marble Hill and various other works postponed throughout 2020 and 2021. We at Hurtigruten are proud to be supporting English Heritage in their important work.

English Heritage x Hurtigruten

The importance of preserving history and heritage is at the core of life at Hurtigruten and in 2023 we will celebrate a milestone of 130 years of exploring and sailing along the Norwegian Coastline. On our expeditions around the British Isles, we call at a number of ports where we offer a range of excursions to English Heritage sites, including Dover Castle.

As we grow and develop the partnership with English Heritage, we are looking forward to bringing exciting opportunities to our passengers and members. Right now, when English Heritage members book a Hurtigruten Coastal Express voyage or Hurtigruten Expeditions cruise directly with Hurtigruten they will receive a 5% discount and 10% of the total booking cost will be donated to English Heritage.

English Heritage is a registered charity in England & Wales No: 1140351.
