Your Alaskan guide will lead you on a miniature getaway into the unique ecosystems within our coastal temperate rainforest on the Wrangell Nature Trail. Learn about the interconnections between tidal, muskeg, alpine, and deep forest ecosystems, and discover a variety of edible and medicinal uses of local flora and fauna that have and continue to be relied upon throughout Southeast Alaska. You will be sure to leave this walk with a wealth of knowledge and an enjoyable experience among the lush, quiet, and peaceful surroundings that the mighty Tongass Rainforest has to offer. Guests walk through Wrangell’s Historic Sites on the way to the Nature Trailhead. The tour departs from and returns to the pier.
