The Sea and fishing tradition have for thousands of years been the primary source for food for the people at the coast of Norway. Here you will get an insight into modern aquaculture and fish farming, which is the second largest export product from Norway.
In the beautiful surroundings along the Toftsundet strait, you visit a real fish farm and get a close-up experience with the Salmon fish farming process. Their professional guides show you the fish farm, the mini aquarium, the underwater camera and the feeding.
We go Toft, 7 km from Town Centre, by bus. The guide will tell you about the town, both history and modern life in this tiny coastal town.
At the end of the guided tour at the Centre, you are of course welcome to taste the product.
The Centre also has an indoor exhibition that consists of aquariums, a section which highlights the history of Norwegian fish farming industry, as well as the local history at destination. Before you leaved you may also visit the small shop and the nice cafè at the site.
