Journey to the glacier top

Starting with a scenic coach tour from Stykkishólmur, we’ll drive to the base of Snæfellsjökul volcano, from where a Snowcat will take you to the glacier.

Towering at 4744 ft above sea level and topped with a glacier, Snæfellsjökull is a spectacular location that inspired part of Jules Verne’s famous novel, ‘Journey to the Center of the Earth’.  On your thrilling journey up to the glacier, there will be plenty of stops to drink in the spectacular scenery and capture the view with incredible photographs.
