Journey to the volcano top
Starting with a bus tour from Stykkishólmurwe’ll drive to the base of Snæfellsjökul, Iceland’s most spectacular glacier. A Snowcat will take you to the mountain top. Snæfellsjökull volcano, topped with ice, is a spectacular location and fits well with Iceland’s nickname: ‘The land of fire and ice. Writer Jules Verne based part of his famous novel, ‘Journey to the Centre of the Earth’ here There’ll be many photo opportunities and time to stroll around while at the top.
