Day 1: Arrive in Anchorage
Spend the night at a hotel in charming Anchorage.
Day 2: Anchorage to Denali National Park
You'll travel from Anchorage to Denali National Park in a deluxe dome railcar, enjoying the panoramic views across three striking mountain ranges. At more than 6 million acres, Denali is one of the world's greatest wildlife preserves. When we reach the park, you can join an optional adventure, or simply soak up the views. We’ll spend tonight in a nearby lodge.
Day 3: Discover Denali National Park
It’s time to take the Tundra Wilderness Bus deep into the park. We'll spend an exciting day scanning the landscape for bears, moose, caribou and Dall sheep – with a snack included. Your guide will talk you through what you're seeing on your tour, giving you a unique insight into Denali’s spectacular ecology and wildlife before we head back to the lodge for the night.
Day 4: Denali National Park to Anchorage
On the way back to Anchorage, we'll stop at Happy Trails Kennel, home to dozens of sled dogs. They’ll be very happy to meet you! You’ll take a virtual trip along the Iditarod trail, watch a dog sled demonstration and grab some all-important puppy playtime. You’ll also enjoy a light packed lunch before we return to Anchorage, where your expedition begins.
Please note that we sometimes visit sites in a different order.
