Drive to Festung Lista Hangar museum, a historical museum located in Hangar 45, at "Lista Fly- og Næringspark". The museum contains amazing discoveries from the World War II, and you get an insight into what it was like to live at Lista during the war.  The museum is today the largest, and visually, the widest-established theme-based historical adventure museum in southern Norway with a total of 1,500 m2 indoor exhibitions located in the X-German aircraft hangar. These in the form of Template modules and free-standing decorated departments indoors. The museum provides a memorable experience. 

A short drive from Hanger 45 you find Nordberg Fort. The fort was built by the Germans during World War 2 and it is one of the few coastal forts that is preserved in its original form and is protected as cultural heritage.  From the top of the fort is a great view of the Lista coastline, a popular place for hiking, bicycle riding and of course visiting the beaches. The tunnels at the fort have been secured and protected from the elements which are fun and popular for visitors of all ages. The fort has 17 authentic buildings and it is also a new museum where you can find a café, museum shop and exhibitions. In the café you can enjoy some complimentary coffee and lappekake/svele and you have free access to explore the buildings of the fort.
