From the Northwest Passage and Franz Josef Land, via Svalbard and the Norwegian coast, to the Galapagos Islands and Machu Picchu: Hurtigruten releases the most diverse and wide-ranging selection of expedition voyages in the company’s 125-year history.

War on plastic

As one the first major companies, Hurtigruten bans all unnecessary single-use plastic. Already by 2 July 2018, everything from plastic straws and cups, coffee lids and plastic bags will be removed from all Hurtigruten ships. The goal is to become the world’s first plastic free shipping company.

Hurtigruten Announces Major Changes Afloat for 2017 Explorer Voyages

Hurtigruten’s already strong Explorer Program is heading towards a major expansion in 2017. Next year will see a tripling of berths to Antarctica, a dedicated ship for more extreme experiences, the major refurbishment of four of its Norwegian Coastal Voyage ships, and the launch of a new ship – MS Spitsbergen.
