Geological wonders

After boarding a coach from the harbour, we drive alongside Kaldbak fjord to the trailhead. Hike uphill to about 280 metres above sea level, pausing at the top of the columnar basalt of the Streymoy Sill. Admire the surrounding tarns and outcrops, sculpted smooth by ancient glaciers. Following the path down the mountain, we head to the romantic village of Leynar before returning to Torshavn.
