Community Connection

On our small expedition boats, we’ll head ashore to meet the vibrant Wayùu community.

The Wayùu people will be ready to welcome you. During your time here, you’ll gain insight into their rich traditions, colorful crafts and the deep connection they have to their land. You’ll have the privilege of engaging in genuine conversations with community members, you’ll participate in traditional activities and you’ll learn about the community’s way of life.

Practical information

  • Included: One bottle of water per person.

  • Remarks/requirements: Please dress according to the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Please note that the weather can get very hot in this area.

  • Walking or Activity information: Involves moderate physical activity on relatively level surfaces and gentle terrain. There is approximately 0.3 miles of walking

  • Wheelchair accessible: No
