Alaska’s wild woods

Following a walk through some of Wrangell’s historical sites, your Alaskan guide will lead you away from the heart of Wrangell and into the Tongass – the largest temperate rainforest in the world. Marvel at the forest’s unique ecosystems and discover the flora and fauna that have sustained its inhabitants for millennia. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as you walk the Wrangell Nature Trail all the way to Kik-Setti Totem Park. 

Practical information

  • Remarks/requirements: Outdoor restrooms are available at the beginning of the tour and at the start of the trail. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. 

  • Language: English 

  • Walking information: Involves moderate physical activity on relatively level surfaces and gentle terrain. Approx. 3.25 miles of walking on pavement and a fine gravel path. 

  • Wheelchair accessible: No
