Leaving the port at the south of the island, you’ll hike from the village of Los Canarios to volcano Teneguía. One of the youngest volcanoes in the Canary Islands, Teneguía erupted in 1971, permanently altering the surrounding landscape. Follow a trail through fields of volcanic ash down to the lighthouse of Fuencaliente. Get your camera ready for some striking shots of the lighthouse and the salt pans below.
