The museum is an exciting experience and gives insight into local, national, and international events throughout the history of mountaineering. It has historical objects on display and interactive exhibits, inviting guests of all ages to explore and play.
The museum showcases mountaineering equipment from different periods, together with historical collections from daring and adventurous mountaineers.
Parts of the museum’s collection is based on the climbing pioneer Arne Randers Heen’s historical documentation of Norwegian climbing sport. It includes climbing expeditions in Norway and various other exciting places in the world.
