Guests are transferred to the trailhead on a 15–20 minute drive through town and on Zimovia Highway. We encourage guests to take the walking sticks we offer, as the trail itself is a narrow wooden boardwalk with many steps. This hike is a shorter, slower version of the High Country Hike. The guides will focus more on the flora and fauna of the area, as well as the history of Wrangell and its people. It winds 0.6 miles through Tongass National Forest up to the first platform, where guests can take a break and take photos of the waterfall. The trail continues another 0.2 miles to the second platform, which looks down over the waterfall and provides views of the Inside Passage and its islands (weather permitting). Guests will return to the trailhead the way they came, again stopping along the way for plants or wildlife of interest.
