Come aboard one of our well-equipped and comfortable sightseeing boats and enjoy a sweeping expedition around the Kodiak archipelago. Our Captains are Alaska-born natives raised on Kodiak Island—the ‘Emerald Island’.
Your adventure begins in the harbor, where many of the famous king crab boats from the ‘Deadliest Catch’ moor for the summer before heading out to the Bering Sea. Our tour continues to the beautiful bird rookeries nearby, where you could see hundreds of tufted and horned puffins, or the kittiwakes who nest on the sheer windswept cliffs. Look up and you may see majestic bald eagles nesting in the tops of the Sitka spruce trees. As you pass smaller islands, the gunneries from World War II on the cliffsides come into view. As your journey continues, witness an abundance of marine wildlife, including sea otters, sea lions, porpoise, and various species of whales, including humpback, orca, and minke. Wildlife sightings are highly likely but not guaranteed.
