  • Visit Skara Brae, a 5,000-year-old village, and its insightful visitor centre 

  • Pass through the Neolithic heartland of Orkney – an area with a wealth of prehistoric archaeology 


Hike along the clifftops  

Join us on a tour through the gently rolling landscape of Mainland.  Arriving at Yesnaby – a local beauty spot – we’ll hike along the clifftops with our local expert guides.  Finishing up in the Bay of Skaill, we’ll visit the 5,000-year-old village of Skara Brae. See the remarkable dwellings revealed from beneath the dunes by storms only 150 years ago.

Practical information

  • Remarks/requirements: Appropriate warm, waterproof clothing and comfortable walking boots. 

  • Walking information: Guests must be fit; able walkers and wear walking boots & carry waterproofs.  Soft, uneven ground along the cliff-top hike. Around 2 hours total walking. 

  • Wheelchair accessible: No.

  • Language: English.
