This is an excellent tour for beginners to get a feel for what sea kayaking is all about.
  • Tour Rockland harbour in a sea kayak

  • See a bustling lobster port in action from sea level

  • Watch for wildlife, including seals and nesting ospreys

  • Enjoy spectacular views of coast and Camden Hills State Park

We start our kayak tour from Snow Marine Park on the Rockland waterfront.

From there we head out into Rockland's historic harbour, one of Maine's largest working harbours and ports for bringing in the famous Maine lobsters. As we paddle by many working lobster boats and tall-mast schooners, we follow the shoreline towards Owl's Head, where we look for seals, nesting ospreys, and seabirds.

As we wind our way back to port, we enjoy a grand view of the city, the famous Breakwater lighthouse, and beautiful Camden Hills State Park beyond Rockland.
