Gems of the North

This scenic tour begins with a visit to Dettifoss, Europe's most powerful waterfall at 144 feet high and 328 feet wide. We’ll also stop at Hljóðaklettar, the Whispering Cliffs, a bizarre-looking group of crater plugs and basalt columns with an eerie acoustic effect.

We continue to the horseshoe shaped Ásbyrgi canyon. Said to be the footprint of Odin’s eight-legged horse, vegetation abounds at the foot of the gigantic cliffs.

As we head back to Húsavik, we’ll drive along the beautiful Tjörnes peninsula.
