Book Your Hurtigruten Cruise with Confidence

In light of the Coronavirus, we want to share everything we're doing to ensure the health and safety of our guests, crew, and staff, while also making it easy for you to travel when you're ready.

Not only have we implemented several preventive measures in response to the Coronavirus outbreak, we have also recently announced several new policies to ease travel concerns. 

New Rebooking Policy

  • Guests already booked on cruises departing March 12 – September 30, 2020, may rebook to any future Hurtigruten expedition cruise or classic Norwegian coastal cruise, departing between July 1, 2020 – December 31, 2021, without any cancellation penalties.
  • If guests choose this option, they will receive a Hurtigruten Future Cruise Credit in the amount of their cancelled booking’s applied payments (including Hurtigruten-booked extras such as flights, pre- or post-land adventures, or any excursions), plus an additional 10% discount for a future cruise. The credit and discount are available for a cruise departing between July 1, 2020 – December 31, 2021.
  • The Hurtigruten Future Cruise Credit is combinable with all other offers and promotions available at the time the new booking is created. Existing promotions on the cancelled booking will not apply to the future booking.

Currently we have launched our risk-free rebooking policy for departures until September 30, 2020. We are continuously monitoring the situation and assessing the options. Should the rebooking policy be extended, we will inform all our guests about this as soon as possible.

Reduced Deposit

  • All new bookings made between March 1 - April 30, 2020 need only a reduced deposit of just $500.
  • This is not currently available online; please contact our Customer Sales Center directly in order to place your reduced deposit. 

New Bookings

  • Guests who make new bookings between March 1 - April 30, 2020 may rebook to a different trip date without cancellation penalty, until 30 days prior to departure.

REBOOKING POLICY FOR EXISTING BOOKINGS
The rebooking policy for existing bookings applies to all cabin categories, for all bookings made through April 30, 2020, departing between March 12 – September 30, 2020, and is subject to withdrawal at any time without notice. 100% of the original booking’s payments can be transferred to a new booking. Bookings made and departing within the applicable window may rebook to voyages departing between July 1, 2020 – December 31, 2021 and will receive an additional 10% off, which is combinable with any new booking offers available at the time of rebooking. Hurtigruten-booked extras such as flights, hotels, transfers, and excursions are applicable for rebooking. Previous offers will not be reapplied to the new booking. New price will be based on current rates and available offers. Should the payments transferred to the new booking be higher than the new booking’s value, a refund to the guest will be issued for the difference. Hurtigruten must be notified of rebooking request up to 48 hours prior to original booking’s scheduled departure. Transfer of payments applies to services booked through Hurtigruten, including taxes, fees, and port expenses. Contact us for a specific fare quote as cabin availability changes frequently. REDUCED DEPOSIT POLICY
The $500 booking deposit applies to all cabin categories, is valid for new bookings made between March 1 – April 30, 2020, and is subject to withdrawal at any time without notice. Deposit is per person in USD ($). Reduced deposit offer applies to the entire booking including taxes, fees, and port expenses. Other restrictions may apply; contact us for full terms and conditions. New bookings may be held without payment online, but reduced deposit offer can only be applied through the Customer Sales Center by calling 866-552-0371. Bookings made within 90 days of departure will require full payment.

REBOOKING POLICY FOR NEW BOOKINGS
The rebooking policy for new bookings applies to all cabin categories, is valid for new individual bookings made between March 1- April 30, 2020, and is subject to withdrawal at any time without notice. Bookings made between March 1 - April 30, 2020 can be rebooked without cancellation penalty until 30 days prior to departure. Guests may rebook to any available sailings at time of rebooking. Previous offers will not be re-applied to the new booking. Price will be based on current rates and available offers at time of rebooking. Should the payments transferred to the new booking be higher than the new booking’s value, a refund to the guest will be issued for the difference. FREE CANCELLATION POLICY
Bookings made from March 1 - April 30, 2020 can cancel without cancellation penalty if met by one of the following criteria: Guest is sick from the COVID-19 virus and provides Hurtigruten with a doctor’s note; or guest’s country of residence has provided official health advisories against traveling to the destination(s) of their voyage. The free cancellation policy applies to all cabin categories, is valid for new individual bookings made between March 1- April 30, 2020, and subject to withdrawal at any time without notice.
