Planned itinerary:

Day 1: Reykjavík - Disembarkation

Reykjavík, South Iceland Waterfalls, and Black-Sand Beaches

Disembark in Reykjavík and start your full-day tour to explore Iceland´s South Coast.

As you ride along the coast, you’ll see magnificent mountains, glaciers, rivers, waterfalls, lava, and beautiful farmland on one side. On the other, you’ll see the mesmerizing Atlantic Ocean. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. We’ll make a few stops along the way. We’ll drive towards the quaint town of Hveragerði, passing over the Hellisheiði heath, which offers a great view of the wide plains formed by glacial rivers—now fertile farmland. You’ll see some fantastic greenhouses that, to their great advantage, were built in a fertile area with plenty of geothermal energy to help support the food and horticultural industries. On the way, you’ll also be able to see magnificent mountains, including the snow-shrouded Hekla, the country’s most active volcano. You can also catch a glimpse of the ice-capped stratovolcano Eyjafjallajökull. Icelanders pride themselves on the Icelandic Sagas, and this region is famous as the setting for the Njáls saga.

You’ll stop at the spectacular waterfall Seljalandsfoss to experience walking behind the cascade. Continuing your journey, you’ll reach the Skógafoss Waterfall, considered to be one of the country’s most beautiful. Returning to Reykjavík, you’ll visit the black-sand beach of Reynisfjara. It’s a photographer’s dream, with black-pebble sand, the majestic cave of basalt columns, and the impressive (but ferocious!) waves. Lunch will be served on the way.

Dinner will be on your own. Overnight at a hotel in Reykjavík, including breakfast.

Day 2: Reykjavík - Departure

In the morning, enjoy breakfast at the hotel. This is the end of your Post-Program.

Iceland has so much to offer. Why not extend your stay a few extra nights? Prolong your adventure!

Please note that due to changing conditions, the order of these sights visited may vary.
