Winter Expeditions

Spitsbergen Coast-to-Coast Ski Expedition

The bear is not moving anymore. Sleeping. Has it seen us? Smelled us? Maybe. But it’s time to move on. It’s been three days of skiing, but you’re almost finished. You’ve skied across Spitsbergen from west to east. So many impressions in such a short time. Time to set up a new camp, time to draw straws for the bear watch. Perhaps you’ll see one again tonight.

Spitsbergen Winter Safari

The engine roars. The cold Arctic air feels fresh on your face. You’ve passed massive open plains, driven through narrow valleys to stunning glaciers and inspiring historical sites. Stayed a night in Russian Barentsburg, a night in a cosy wilderness cabin. It’s been a great three days. The tour guide stops his snowmobile in front of you. Has he seen something? Could it be? Yes it is – The King of the Arctic, the Polar Bear!
