3. Wi-Fi

Yes, we offer Wi-Fi on board. But on expedition cruises to remote destinations, coverage and speed will be very limited. Internet will mainly be available via satellite, except when we’re close to land and 4G coverage via mobile is within range.

For those regions where it is hard to connect to the Internet, your family and friends back home can still see where the ship is at all times

4. The daily program

Rather than having a rigid schedule, your Expedition Team tailors your activities for each day according to weather conditions and the area we are sailing in.

That´s why you will receive your daily program one day at a time, usually in the evening.

It's all part of being on an expedition cruise, where every day is an adventure.

We recommend you download the Hurtigruten onboard app, which includes everything about your cruise, including your excursion bookings, the daily program and services on board.

5. Lectures

The onboard Expedition Team runs a series of fascinating world-class lectures in the Science Center. These are also streamed to the TV in your cabin, allowing you to enjoy the lectures in total comfort.

6. Gym, wellness center, sauna, and pool area

You’ll find the Wellness Center on Deck 7, which is usually in high demand during days at sea. We recommend you plan and book any treatment you would like - massages, facials, etc - as early as possible after embarking the ship.

You can book directly in the Wellness Center or at Reception.

Feel free to also make use of the ship’s facilities which do not require booking: indoor gym on Deck 7; sauna, infinity pool, and hot tubs on Deck 10; and the outdoor running track on Deck 11.

7. Restaurant Aune

Aune is the main restaurant on board and serves all guests breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The set dinners offer a choice of protein between meat, fish, or plant-based dishes.

Occasionally, in order to meet landing schedules, we will opt for a delicious evening dinner buffet instead of a set dinner.

We know that with our guests, if there is a choice between sitting down for dinner or going on a landing in a remote region to see rare wildlife up close, the latter will win  every time.

8. Restaurant Fredheim

In Fredheim, you are welcome to relax in an informal atmosphere and enjoy the chance to get to know your fellow travelers while enjoying great food together. The menu will vary throughout your journey; in addition to the restaurant´s signature dishes, you can also order food from Aune. Fredheim is included for all our guests, and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
