Why Cruise to the Galápagos Islands

The ship, with capacity for only 90 guests, has been refurbished in a modern Scandinavian style. It features excellent onboard facilities and its small size allows us to easily venture off the beaten track. Along with numerous activities such as snorkeling and kayaking, we’ll go on guided nature walks and enjoy outstanding food prepared by the crew.

Wildlife

This archipelago is overflowing with unique animals and plants that you will meet face-to-face while going about your day on the islands. Arguably, no other place on Earth can compete with the Galápagos Islands in terms of unique wildlife experiences. It’s not just the numerous endemic species, it’s also that their evolution without mammalian predators makes them unafraid of humans. Each island harbors a variety of animals and the surrounding seas are teeming with life.

Sustainability

Sustainability

Hurtigruten was the first major travel company to remove single-use plastic from all of our ships, restaurants and hotels. We are constantly improving how we reduce, recycle and handle our waste – and are sharing everything we learn along the way. Our crews and guests collect metric tons of waste from beaches every year and are educated and trained in conservation. Hurtigruten spreads awareness about pollution in every way we can, engages in strategic partnerships, works with relevant organizations, and conducts research and real-time monitoring of the oceans.
