Upon arrival in Lofoten, your host will pick you up and drive you to Hattvika Lodge. The drive through amazing scenery is just a hint of what you can expect on this three-day adventure. From the moment you check in to your cabin at Hattvika, you will feel Lofoten's charm and an eager sense of excitement of what lies ahead. Spend the rest of the day exploring the immediate area and enjoying the midnight sun, weather permitting.
Paddle through nature
Start the next day with a tasty breakfast in either the hotel restaurant or your room. Dig in and gear up for today's paddling adventure!
Kayaking Lofoten is almost indescribable. It is something you just have to experience for yourself. And you do! Gliding silently through the archipelago´s clear waters puts nature into a totally different perspective. See steep mountains rise to lofty heights directly from the sparkling sea and become one with nature. Exploring the Lofoten Islands by kayak is one the most beautiful ways to discover nature anywhere! Please note that the sea kayak tour is for both beginners and advanced sea kayakers. Duration and distance is adjusted to the skill set of the guests.
After your paddling adventure, we head back to the lodge for some serious lounging in the outdoor hot tub and sauna. Warm your body and relax your mind in the midst of inexplicably beautiful, natural surroundings.
We end the day with a three-course meal prepared in the restaurant, with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. During summer, the sun never sets, which provides for extra energy and endless hours of exploration. Make the most of your night up north.
Hike like a Viking
Enjoy another delicious breakfast before checkout and joining the guide for a hike on one of the area's many majestic mountains or remote beaches. If you choose the sea, prepare yourself for an optional, invigorating dip in Arctic waters!
Norwegians are known for their love of the outdoors, called "friluftsliv," and hiking is an important part of that outdoor culture. After hiking Lofoten, you understand why people keep coming back for more. The duration and routes of your hikes may vary, depending on the physical condition and experience of participating guests.
Last taste of Lofoten
What's better than a hearty lunch served after an active day outdoors? Tuck into yet another tasty meal in the Hattvika Lodge restaurant, followed by a visit to Lofoten's biggest fishing village, Ballestad. Observe how the local fishermen prepare for their next catch, like they have done for centuries. Soak up your last look at Lofoten on the drive back to the airport or port, using up the remaining memory card storage so you can recollect this adventure of a lifetime later.
