From the harbor, we leave the dry side of the island behind and head to where the island was formed, the Cova Crater, where farmers now cultivate their fields. After a photo-op, we will enjoy impressions of rural life along the former trading route. We will admire spectacular views of valleys and volcanic mountains. You can’t leave Santo Antao without having tasted the local liqueur ‘Groque’, which the locals produce with pride. We will learn about it and taste it in a traditional distillery. The route along the breathtaking coast will lead us back to the ship.
