Sit back and discover the biggest and most African of the Cape Verde islands, passing along winding roads, steep mountains, green valleys and the small villages. This gives us a taste of the rich history that has formed this islands' particular identity. You will have the chance to breathe in the fresh air as you take in all of the beautiful colours that this volcanic island has to offer. Our first stop will take us to the small botanical garden in Sao Jorge where we can see many endemic plants sand other exotics spices of scientific interest. We will then continue our drive and stop at Assomada where we will visit the local vegetable market. We will drive through Orgaos before reaching the first water dam built on Cape Verde. Visiting the first water dam of the country, you will understand the wealth of water and the importance of the word 'tchuba' - rain in kriolo.
