Dog sledding in Longyearbyen
A local guide will meet the group at the harbour, and you will head out of Longyearbyen towards the dog yards. Here you will receive an introduction to dog sledding, before you help to harness the dogs and the real fun begins.
Three participants will share each specially-made wheeled sled, with eight eager huskies in front. Participants will have the opportunity to drive the sled, and to enjoy the scenery as a passenger.
During this time of the year, we may see a rich bird life, Svalbard Reindeers and the colorful flowers of the Arctic tundra. The length of the trip is about 3 km.
