Santos is located in the south of the State of São Paulo on the southern coast of Brazil. Besides its beautiful beaches, Santos has the most important export harbor in the country and the largest port complex in all of Latin America. Its beautiful churches and museums reveal the town's wealthy history. First called São Vicente, Santos is one of the oldest cities in Brazil, founded in 1532.
The tour starts at the historical side of the city, which contains many of the old colonial buildings. Then, we will drive along the beaches of Santos, with its beautiful residential areas sharing space with gorgeous historical monuments, and a lovely, continuous garden, considered by the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest beachfront garden in the world.
When we visit the Morro José Menino (José Menino Hill), located between the cities of Santos and São Vicente, you will board a cable car for an 11-minute ride (each way) to the top of the hill, located at approx. 2,200 feet above sea level. The top of this hill is also used as the starting point for hang gliding and paragliding flights. From the top of José Menino Hill, you will enjoy a magnificent view of Santos Bay and São Vicente.
Lastely, we'll head to São Vicente City, the oldest city in Brazil, which offers tourists the chance to visit a miniature version of the old town in São Vicente Village before heading back to the pier.
