This morning, we explore one of the region’s most beautiful natural attractions: the Ballestas Islands. Often referred to as ‘Peru’s Galapagos’, these volcanic islands are home to an array of wildlife and dramatic scenery.

A bus picks us up from the ship and brings us to el Chaco, where we will board our tour boats. Keep your eyes peeled for the birds and sea mammals that call this area home as we cruise around the islands. Upon arrival at the islands, we slow down and make the most of the numerous fantastic photo opportunities. We may see seals, sea lions, and penguins circling the boat in droves, while boobies, frigate birds, and pelicans fly above.

This excursion offers an enjoyable wildlife interlude where close encounters are an everyday occurrence.

After this, we return to the ship.
