On this city tour of Lima, Peru, you will be driven along the main streets, plazas, and avenues of Lima. You will start at the Parque del Amor, in Miraflores, which has a a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Then, you will admire a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, an ancient ceremonial center of pre-Inca culture known as Lima culture, a society which developed in the Peruvian Central Coast between the years of 200 A.D. and 700 A.D. In San Isidro, the financial center of the city, you will see Huaca Huallamarca, an ancient pre-Inca shrine.
You’ll continue to the Main Square, where you will see the Government Palace and City Hall. You’ll visit the cathedral and explore the Santo Domingo Convent, and San Martin de Porres and Santa Rosa de Lima are buried there, after roaming its halls during the 17th century.
