Cumbuco Beach is 24 miles from Fortaleza (approximately 50 minutes), in the district of Caucaia on the west coast, and one of the most traditional beaches in the state of Ceará. Its main attractions include a village of fishermen, coconut trees by the shore, and some of the most beautiful sand dunes to be found on the Brazilian coastline. Besides its natural beauty, the beach offers beach huts with showers and a variety of culinary experiences.
Visitors can also enjoy a buggy ride – with or without excitement (you can choose the adrenaline level)! In the beautiful Parnamirim lagoon, you can go swimming, or try the famous ‘ski-bunda’, where riders take a small wooden sled down the giant sand dunes and into the refreshing waters of the Parnamirim lagoon. You can also take a trip on the high seas aboard the typical and traditional craft of the Brazilian fishermen, the ‘jangada’, or take a romantic trip along the beach on a donkey!
