Walk from pier for a short visit of the Plaza de Armas. Then we continue to San Francisco Church, the main Catholic church of Chiloé’s capital. It is different from the typical style of the other churches of the island, as it is constructed in a Neo-Gothic style. The church was built by carpenters from Chiloé under supervision from Salvador Sierpe. A few minutes later, we walk to the Regional Museum, which houses a well-organized collection of Huilliche relics, musical instruments, traditional farm implements, and Chilota wooden boat models, along with exhibits on the evolution of Chiloé's towns.

We continue downhill to the diverse handicraft market to shop and admire the local artisanal work before continuing to the pier.
